07/25/13 - Peggy’s Cove

Peggy’s Cove is about 40 minutes drive southwest of Halifax.  The Peggy's Cove Lighthouse is considered as artist and explorer’s paradise on the rugged Atlantic shoreline standing on solid rock above the crashing surf.  The Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse is the most photographed lighthouse in the world and Peggy’s Cove is considered the most photographed attraction in Canada.  On the way to Peggy’s Cove, we visited the Swiss Flight 111 Memorial site.  

When we got to Peggy’s Cove, it was raining and we could only take photos in a very cloudy condition.  Therefore, we had to go into the only restaurant Sou’ Wester to have the famous gingerbread and coffee to wait for the 3PM Peggy's Cove B&B check-in time.  

After we checked in, the sun came out and we rushed back to the lighthouse area for more Kodak moments.  We stayed there for more than 2 hours to take photos in every angles that we could think of.  

Since there is nothing else Peggy's Cove, we had to have dinner early and went back to Peggy’s Cove B&B to relax for the evening.  The B&B's facility is just OK, however the view from their patio overlooking the Peggy's Cove is very beautiful.
